Hold-Release is an application that is all about time - Hold time and Release time. Hold-Release assists in getting the most out of current fitness routines. It takes fitness to the next level. It is a must for physical therapy.
Configure by entering a Title, Start Delay, Hold Time, Release Time and Number of Reps for each fitness event.
Audio feedback provides guidance. Optional screen color flashes can be utilized when audio is not available, or if the iPhone is some distance away.
During a stressful fitness routine, one’s internal clock tends to speed up. For example: with a goal to release a bench press over a time period of 5 seconds, the actual release time may speed up to 3 seconds. That 2-second difference is significant. The same goes for crunches, stretches, etc.
Hold-Release keeps your Hold and Release times accurate.
Use examples:
Interval Training - Bike: 30 minutes of high intensity biking
Reps: 6
Hold (high intensity interval): 300 seconds (5 min)
Release (low intensity interval): 180 seconds (3 min)

Weight Training - Bench Press
Reps: 15
Hold (press weight): 2 seconds
Release (return weight to chest): 5 seconds
Core - Crunches
Reps: 20
Hold (complete 4 crunches): 5 seconds
Release (rest) 2 seconds
Stretch - Hamstrings:
Reps: 2 (1 rep for each leg)
Hold: 90 seconds
Release (change legs): 5 seconds
Select a 30-second audio mark to increase stretch at each audio queue.
